Thanks. Good also to see your blog and to run into a brother in the Lord from the Roman Catholic Church and confession.Ted M. Many people use the word loosely. "Limbo of the fathers" is not at all the same thing as the "limbo" theory related to unbaptized infants.

Second, it is just a theory. It is a theological speculation that has not been condemned. It is not dogma or a teaching of the Catholic Church.JACKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15906522110937079913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20184070.post-47171124709974659602007-06-06T20:00:00.000-04:002007-06-06T20:00:00.000-04:00Cheryl, Great to hear from you on my blog, sister!...Cheryl, Great to hear from you on my blog, sister! You're a blessing, just like your comment here.

Success ought to be measured by obedience to God rather than anything else. Great point! Fact is I too get sidetracked into measuring success differently in all kinds of other ways, some seemingly innocent and some really not.

I think of Jesus's life. Most looking at his life, including his half brothers and sisters would have maybe seen some kind of success on a small scale or maybe no success at all. After all, he was from Nazareth, and can any good come from there, asked Nathaniel (John 1).

It takes discipline and commitment to Christ, and in God's grace to begin to really find and begin to really live in what is success in God's eyes. And we're to do this together as well as individually, in our lives.

Thanks again, Cheryl. And look forward to any other comments you might leave for us in the future. Thanks for taking the time to read this blog. :)!!!Ted M. Life is full of so many challenges. Instead of measuring where I am by the world's standards of accomplishments, I want to measure my success in my obedience to God each day. I am thankful for God's grace and mercy in my life, and His working to draw me to Himself and give me opportunities to serve Him.Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00114452020534446230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20184070.post-78694884675023943282007-06-05T04:55:00.000-04:002007-06-05T04:55:00.000-04:00Charity, Great point. Part of what it means to be led of God in Jesus, even as we walk by faith not by sight. And as we seek to be open to God's correction along the way.Ted M. There are so many circumstances in life, however, when the choices we make don't seem to land so squarely on one or the other. Then it becomes a matter of discernment and wisdom. The process of thinking through those issues certainly can seem like limbo, at times.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
