Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to my Mother, and to each and every mother who reads this! Blessings on you. You're all so very special!

My mother is so very special to me and to each of her children. She has done a remarkable amount of good for each of us, and her life has been used of God by her many prayers and witness to us. We love you, Mom, and we miss you. I hope you have the best Mother's Day ever, and that you know just how much you are loved.

I hope everyone has a great mothers day. I know it is so hard when your mother is gone on to be with God and for those women who are struggling to get pregnant. Please though stop by, call, e-mail your mother and tell her how much she means to you. If she has gone on to be with God then today think about the great times you had with her. Ted, wonderful post brother.

Blessings to everyone on mothers day. I think of those who have lost mothers and there pain during this time.

Thanks, Kinney.

Hope your wife and mother had a special day today. And so true, as I was praying today some for a brother whose mother recently went to be with the Lord, at the age of only 58.

Yes, Mike. I guess I already mentioned that, but it's hard for those who have lost their mothers, especially when still relatively young.

And Kinney. So right. It is so hard for a good number of mothers who are struggling to get pregnant or carry to delivery (especially the latter).
We need to be sensitive to such especially on days like today.

Praise the Lord for godly mothers who care enough to discipline us and teach us about God. I am so thankful for the discipline I recieved from my mother, and the sacrifice and price she paid to give that disicipline. Now, being the mother of 4 children, ages 13 to almost 21, I understand in a real way the stress she endured for me, constant sacrifice, and am so thankful for her prayers. I have been blessed that God prolonged her life, healing her from cancer in 1982 when I was just a young adult. My life has been richer because of her encouragement and wisdom, just a phone call away. I pray that God would help us as mothers to perservere in going against the culture as we point our children to Jesus Christ, and train them to serve Him with all of their heart, mind, soul, and strength. I pray that God would help me to do the right thing even when it makes my children angry, so that possibly they will see their folly and turn to the Lord. I cry out to God for our children, that the Holy Spirit would draw them to Himself.

Amen, Cheryl! Thanks for sharing that about Mom and your own thoughts with us on this.

It is certainly wisdom beyond ourselves that we need in bringing them up in the training/discipline and instruction of the Lord. In the word and by the Spirit, and with much prayer.

As I think of other stories we can never give up, no matter what one or another may be doing.

But I believe you've done a good job in seeking to raise your children in the fear and love of the Lord, Cheryl.

Thanks.
