prayer for the week

O Lord, mercifully receive the prayers of your people who call upon you, and grant that they may know and understand what things they ought to do, and may also have grace and power faithfully to accomplish them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Kinney,
So sorry to hear of all you continue to go through. Glad your dad can fill in for you, today.

I'll get others to pray for you, and will be glad to mention it during our prayer time at church. And most importantly for me, I'll keep praying for you as I think of all those who remember to keep praying for us in our troubles, friends are the ones most likely to do so.

Hope you're feeling better soon, and that there can be a long term solution and healing so that you can serve for many years to come, as Jesus tarries.

Ex-Shammickite,
No, I am not. Though I can and do preach and teach.

I am a simple Christian who does love to read and serve where I can. I think I would have enjoyed doing that, or being an educator of some sort, but my primary goal, is simply to be a true follower of Jesus by the Spirit and the word in his church in this world.

Hope your day up there is as nice as ours. I love the weather, in the 70's F (sorry, I don't know celsius, or the metric, though I agree that's superior to our measurements), and breezy here. A little nippy for Deb, but just about right for me.

Nancy,
Yes. Prayer is so vital to us, in Jesus. Kind of like our "vital breath", and I think it's been called that.

And memories. That reminds me, I need to call my mother soon. She's in her early 80's, but still doing quite well, it seems.

And I'm thankful for who you are in Jesus, as well.
