quote for the week: Edward T. Welch on hope

While our culture elevates riches and health, hope is one of the most coveted spiritual possessions. You get it by asking for it and practicing it. You practice it by remembering and meditating on God's story.

Ted - great quote. Although, I haven't read the book, I think much of what Ed Welch and the other CCEF guys write is really good and biblically sound.

ESI,
Best on depression hands down. I like his balance, and his emphasis on Scripture and living it out. And it's written for depressed people, the way he lays it out facilitates helping such, and I know that from experience (though my depression I'm sure pales in comparison to many!)
