prayer of the week

O God, you declare your almighty power chiefly in showing mercy and pity: Grant us the fullness of your grace, that we, running to obtain your promises, may become partakers of your heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Ted, thank you for posting the prayer of the week. This morning at the time you were posting and praying, I was with you, as were all within the Body of Christ, in the pre-dawn Silence, the Presence of God. Thank you for being so faithful in posting the Sunday collects. They remind us not only of our need for God's ever-present mercies, but also how we might give thanks for His love by actions in our lives. Later in the day when June and I pray this collect during the Eucharist, I will again thank you for introducing it to me so early in the morning.

Andrew, Thanks for your good thoughts here. Little do we appreciate the reality of which you speak here, I'm afraid. But it's important for us in our life in the Lord, I believe.

Kinney and Lanny, "Amen" along with you!
