O God, by the passion of your blessed Son you made an instrument of shameful death to be for us the means of life: Grant us so to glory in the cross of Christ, that we may gladly suffer shame and loss for the sake of your Son our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

So be it!
Ted,
What a wonderful prayer brother. I love it. Amen. There are so many prayers that strengthen and fill ones spirit. Thank you for sharing this with us. I have indeed been filled this morning.
"that we amy gladly suffer shame and loss for the sake of your Son our Savior"
I wonder what would happen in ourselves and our community if we prayed, "bring it on, for You and Your glory alone" more than we prayed "take care of me, keep me comfortable, secure, happy and safe."?
Crowm, and Preacherman,
Amen.
Lanny,
Good point, and reminds me of the prayer in Acts, early on, when the church prayed for boldness and not safety.
Wonderful to receive Good Words.
Yipeng,
Amen!
