Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn on rights trumping responsibility

The West has finally achieved the rights of man . . . but man's sense of responsibility to God and society has grown dimmer and dimmer.

nAncY,
Thanks.

That was this summer in Dallas, at night high up in a slowly turning structure overlooking the city, when we visited my sister there.

Nice quote by Solzhenitsyn. I almost get the feeling sometimes that people think being irresponsible is a right.

Diane,
Yes. Responsibility doesn't seem to have the place in society that rights do, for sure. Though people find out that they can't really live that way, or live well that way.
